MCU Fans Are More Hyped Than Ever For Loki Season 2 After Quantumania

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.Fans are hyped about Loki season 2 after the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Marvel Studios has officially kicked off Phase 5, meaning the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be digging deeper into the Multiverse Saga. Loki season 2 is already expected to play a pivotal role in the evolving overall narrative, but fans’ anticipation of what’s next for the God of Mischief has significantly increased after seeing Team Ant-Man face off against Kang the Conqueror.

Taking to Twitter, fans are expressing their heightened excitement about Loki season 2 on Disney+ following the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Check out some of the tweets below:

For context, Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania ended with the defeat of the exiled Kang the Conqueror in the Quantum Realm. But news quickly spread to his other variants, who now gear up for an all-out war against the Avengers as the heroes are on the cusp of fully discovering their secret.

What To Expect From Loki Season 2

The mid-credits scene for Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania effectively sets up the Multiverse Saga, particularly, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. But its post-credits scene directly leads to the events of Loki season 2 as the God of Mischief and Mobius are seen watching a presentation of Victor Timely — another Kang variant. How they end up tracking him down is still a mystery.

After the Loki season 1 finale cliffhanger, this reinforces the idea that the God of Mischief will likely be going after various Kang variants to make sense of what he learned from He Who Remains. How he is reunited with Sylvie remains to be seen at this point, but set images have confirmed that their paths will cross again sometime in the Disney+ show. It will also be interesting to see how Timely differs from the Kang variant that Team Ant-Man faced in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania.

Whatever the specifics for Loki season 2 may be, it’s clear that its events will be an important pillar of MCU’s burgeoning Multiverse Saga. After Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania, it’s essentially the next project that is confirmed to directly tackle the threat brought by Kang the Conqueror. This makes the God of Mischief, like Team Ant-Man, one of the only MCU characters with first-hand knowledge of the Avengers’ next big adversary.
