Guillermo Del Toro’s highly anticipated horror anthology series, Cabinet of Curiosities has arrived on Netflix. Del Toro, who’s directed Pan’s Labyrinth and the multi-award winning film The Shape of Water (2018) is the producer of the series, which is currently No. 4 on Netflix’s top shows in the U.S. Every episode is introduced by the acclaimed director, who gathers some of his favorite filmmakers to create the stories. « In this anthology, we gave ownership of each episode to the directors. Each of the episodes has a whole world. They present you with different delights; some are savory, some are sweet. You get a surprise from each of the bites », Guillermo shared with Netflix Tudum.
The series features an all-star cast that helps bring the characters to life. Dan, who plays the Alo Glo Man, voiced Admiral Hornigold in Netflix’s The Sea Beast earlier this year.

Kate Micucci’s resume includes roles on How I Met Your Mother (2006), Malcolm in the Middle (2006), and Scrubs (2009). Ben Barnes is no stranger to Netflix, the actor plays General Kirigan in Shadow and Bone, a role he’s set to reprise on the upcoming second season.

The Hollywood veteran appeared in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom in 2020, alongside the late Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) and Viola Davis, who he also worked with on ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder (2018-2019).

Lize Johnston appears as Dottie in three episodes, the most among the cast. The actress who has previously worked on quite a few short films also appeared in TV series like True Nightmares (2016), and The Friendless Five in 2016. Johnston is currently working on a handful of projects including a short film that is currently in post-production called 7 Minutes in Hell.
